Male Bisexuality on the Scene

Male bisexuality faces a double standard within kink communities. Whereas female bisexuality is encouraged—indeed, presumed—male bisexuality is often denied or suppressed.

A couple of years ago, I started teaching a class on the place of male bisexuality within alternative sex cultures. Next Tuesday, June 3, I’m teaching it in New York for the first time, at TES. Expect an open and wide-ranging discussion as participants speak from their experiences.

Find out more at the TES website. The class is open to all. Drop me a line if you plan to attend.

I cannot speak to the kink situation, but I know whenever I am in gay social scenes that the same double standard seems to apply.

I've been looking for bi men and seem to only run across those who are "curious" but not quite brave enough to explore. I'd be interested in any notes/hand-outs you might have for your class as I cannot attend.

I find it interesting that almost every gay man I know says that bi guys are just gay men who are afraid to totally come out as if being bi is the last stop on the road to being totally gay.

And as a woman, I hate the expectation of bisexuality. I like cock, I'm just not that into women.

If I were anywhere near New York, and perhaps a tad more male (although I wouldn't let that stop me), I'd be there in a flash - I bet it'll be interesting and informative.

Just to clarify, Red--all genders are welcome!
