Jocasta gave me a large box for my birthday. Inside I found books by Saul Bellow and other authors, several lengths of her famous nylon rope to complete my set (I now have enough to suspend someone, she tells me), and a fifteen-inch length of hemp.
"What can you do with one short rope?" I asked.
She showed me.

Tilda: Herzog is fantastic. I was turned onto Bellow a few years ago as an undergrad. In fact, my professor who looked just like Susan Sarandon (spelling?) had us read it in a course on Modernism. *sigh* I SOOOO l.o.v.e. the Modernists. No one else makes your heart hurt so perfectly. Maybe it was my crush on her that fanned the flames, but they always set my heart afire.
